NTT DATA Promotes The Connection of Its Talents Through The Initiative "Move For The SDGs"

The company strives to involve and raise awareness of its employees, strengthening our commitment to the 2030 Agenda

NTT DATA launches the second edition of the "Move for the SDGs" initiative with the premise that each personal action contributes to building a better society—an invitation to move from awareness to action and purposefully boost its employees' life energy. Our goal is to engage the organization's employees in activities that promote individual well-being and raise awareness of the relevance of physical and mental health.

The project supports NTT DATA's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly climate action, economic growth, quality education, gender equality, social engagement, transparency, and information security. It is also part of the company's Americas 5.1 strategy, which focuses on collaboration, the generation of value from new technologies, and the continuous improvement of people.

Every employee of NTT DATA will score points for all their activities: running, dancing, meditating, swimming, jumping, walking, and participating in sporting events or outdoor activities... They will also benefit from sharing these actions with the hashtag #MoveForTheSDGs.

For every minute of activity, you will earn one point; for every publication that follows one of these actions or is linked to an SDG, you will earn ten points. There will be individual rankings by country and region, and the top performers will be recognized at a closing event in October, celebrating the International Day Against Climate Change. Two representatives from each country (one male and one female) will have the opportunity to travel to Miami, USA, to compete in the Life Time Miami Marathon and Half. This event will take place next year on January 28.

The invitation will be open until the first days of October for the talent of the eight countries in the region where the company operates - Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, and Peru.

The "Move for the SDGs" goals for this year will include striving to surpass the 6,000 hours of physical activity performed in the previous year.

"Our initiative is a statement that we care about sustainability and are proud to make an effort together," explained Miguel Teixeira, CEO of NTT DATA Americas. "When we are responsible for our health, we are also responsible for our community and the planet. Transformation begins with you and mobilizes everyone," concluded Miguel Teixeira.

People are at the center of NTT DATA's strategy. Initiatives such as "Move for the SDGs" aim to align the employees' purposes and the organization's mission to impact society positively.
